PRINTING:

The printouts do not fit into one paper. What to do?
Why don't the lines show when I print the stationery?
Why don't the colors look like the ones on the screen?
Why are the printouts uneven/'striped'?

WHAT TO DO WHEN THE PRINTS DON'T FIT INTO ONE PAPER?

If possible, avoid printing straight from the browser. There are some options for printing, but the result will be better if you download the picture and print it from another program (I use Corel Photo-Paint). There you can set the margins to whatever you want and even 'fit to paper size'.

If you don't have access to any such program and need to use the browser, in Netscape you can change some printing settings below 'File' - 'Page Setup...'. In Explorer you find it below 'File' - 'Print Format'.

If it still isn't working, then unfortunately, there isn't anything more I can do. If I make the printables smaller, they will be too small for most users.

WHY DON'T THE LINES SHOW WHEN I PRINT THE STATIONERY?

If that's the only problem with the printout, you are probably out of black ink.

WHY DON'T THE COLORS LOOK LIKE THE ONES ON THE SCREEN?

There are many possible causes for this problem. The most likely being that you're out of one or more ink colors, or that they have dried up from not being used frequently enough.

If you're sure that's not the reason, you can experiment with the printer settings. It's hard to give any concrete advice, but read the replies below for some more suggestions.

WHY ARE THE PRINTS UNEVEN/STRIPED?

If there is ink left in the cartridges, perhaps the actual printer has dried up (especially if it has rarely been used). It can probably be fixed, but if it's old perhaps it won't be worth it. A new printer doesn't have to cost very much and the printouts are excellent.

Mine is a HP Deskjet 930C and I love it! The printouts match much of the stuff you see in the paper shops.
